AAMAC (Aplastic Anemia and Myelodysplasia Association of Canada) invites the Quebec PNH community to join their annual Montreal Support Group Meeting. The event will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec, 3535, rue Saint-Denis.
Christiane Caza, a social worker and parent of a son with PNH and aplastic anemia (AA), will give a presentation in French about how PNH, AA and MDS not only affect the person who has the disease, but also how they affect the entire family. She will discuss the importance of understanding how the patient experiences their illness, and how important it is for caregivers to get information about the disease and training to cope with different situations that may arise during the course of their loved one’s treatment.
A light breakfast will be served. Please R.S.V.P. to 1 (888) 840-0039 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
